HT Wins 10 Medals: Turning the Heat Up at The City Championships

After a frustrating week of practice Haddon Township showed up to the race course with a new resolve today. Though some boats suffered from the loss of practice time this week, HT came away from another race with a collection of medals.

Congratulations go to out the Women's JV 4x, who battled Sacred Heart and Springside Academy all the way down the course but came out victorious to become the 2010 Philadelphia City Champions. The quad of Julie Cippon, Emily Gartland, Catie Ely, and Tori King got their first Varsity medals at this years City Championships by defeating Sacred Heart by just under 3 seconds.

Congratulations also go out to Caley O'Brien, for placing third in the Varsity Women's Single, Greg Cuneo for placing 2nd in the Varsity men's 1x, and to the Freshman 4x of: Nick Herceg, Alec Rogers, Alex Blue, and Sam Lieberandall for placing 3rd in their event in another nail biter.

All crews did exceptionally well in today's regatta, but the team will have to refocus and have a solid 2 weeks of practice in preparation for the Largest Scholastic Regatta in the World, STOTESBURY!
