Test Results
Test results from today's 2k continues to show marked improvement as a team. Of the 22 people that tested 15 improved and 2 school records were broke. Sophomore Jim Howley broke Greg Cuneo's old team record of 6:54.6 by over a second to claim the new team record while Tori King broke her own school record of 7:44 to improve to 7:42. Above all it was an exceptional team performance.

Haddon Hammer Recap
The Haddon Township crew club stayed put to participate in the second annual Haddon Hammer: NJ's Indoor Rowing Championships. This year's Haddon Hammer was a great success, grossing nearly double the profit from last year and registering over 230 entrants. Overall 4 events boasted significantly faster times than last year, the event drew more participants, sold more t-shirts and food, ran on average 3 minutes early, general feedback on the event was that it was run better overall, and that participants would return next year. A huge thanks go out to the parents and volunteers who helped make this event run so smoothly. Congratulations go to Shelia King and John Glace for organizing this event and executing it seamlessly.
Overall, Haddon Township athletes performed very well at this event. Of the 15 athletes that participated in this event last year, 13 improved their personal record. Jim Howley improved his erg score over last year by over 24 seconds to win his event. Salena Silvaria boasted the largest margin of improvement on the women's side by posting an 8:27.8; 25.5 seconds faster than last year's score.
2 Haddon Township athletes finished in the medals and 7 Hawks finished in the top 11 of their event. Junior Julie Cipon finished 2nd in her event that hosted 42 participants. She finished just .5 off the winner, posting a personal best of 7:57.8, being the first lightweight athlete at HT to finish under 8 minutes.
Sophomore Jim Howley won his event with a time of 6:57.9 just 3.3 seconds off of Greg Cuneo's team record of 6:54.6. He improved by over 24 seconds to do so.
Senior Tori King set a new school record with her time of 7:44.8, besting the previous record holder, Emily Davis by just 1.2 seconds. She improved her previous time by 7 seconds to be the first HT athlete to break 7:45.
Cumulatively the team improved by over 130 seconds from last year's Haddon Hammer and I am very happy with the results so far.
We will now set our sights towards the team erg test next Friday in the hopes of setting some new records.
